![]() ![]() Customer support just told me that they have no clue how to report a Windows Update Driver bug either. I'd still like to report this bug to whoever may be responsible for that kind of thing, but I found no reasonable way of doing so. When I run 'dkms status' I get the driver that I installed: 'rtl8812au, 5.2.20.r9.gacale06, 4.14.36-1MANJARO, x8664: installed' The adapter itself is not flashing on, lsusb -v returns 'Couldn't open device, some information will be missing. Using a vendor driver resolve the problem (but introduces some, minor, others), so this isn't a serious problem. I properly installed the rtl8812au package and the correct linux kernel headers (linux414-headers) through pacman, yaourt, and through source from git. I tested this with both theĮdimax AC1200 and the ASUS USB-AC56 as well as 5g capable access points by Netgear (Nighthawk R700), AVM and Linksys.Ī list of all affected dongles can be found Digital Media Keyboard 1.0A Bus 003 Device 002: ID 05e3:0606 Genesys Logic, Inc. The driver works perfectly fine (albeit a bit slow) for 2.4Ghz connections but fails entirely for 5Ghz ac connections - after a failed connection attempt it croaks entirely and no longer even lists any available 5Ghz networks. Bus 003 Device 004: ID 0bda:8812 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. My hardware ID is USB\VID_7392
